Jamie, Trent, Whisper and Ty

I finally made the time to do my editing. I had not had a chance to go thru all 500 pics that we took. In fact I was a little nervous about it. That is a lot of photos! I can get so wrapped up in what I am doing on the computer that time goes by and before I know it it has been a month sense the toilet has been cleaned. Never fear I finally got to it this morning. Anyway TMI, So what I found when I was editing was how much emotion was coming up over my experience of photographing Jamie, Trent and their two beautiful children. Jamie has been a close friend sense college. We have been separated by many miles and sometimes time but when we get together we pick up right where we left off. The thing I loved most about this shoot was all the love that was filling up the studio. Jamie and Trent are truly in love. To top it off they are expecting a beautiful baby girl. I can't wait to meet her. So Jamie and Trent, I hope I was able to portray half of what I felt coming from the two of you. I truly feel blessed to have you in my life. That being said here are the shots. Coming soon is the next third of the shoot. My beautiful friend Jemie and her husband Len and baby boy Braxton. Stay tuned for the last third where Trent became Pro Photographer and got all us girls together. Jemie, Jamie, Jerri and Kate. All college buddies. I might have to throw in some pics of my mother in law the sheep herder as well.

too cute!!!

Connor is on his way home.

The kids and I went for a walk today. I needed to get out of the house and so did they. I was a beautiful day. No wind, no clouds, just sunshine and warm. I have been feeling a little overwhelmed lately. After attending WPPI in Las Vegas (a huge convention and trade show geared toward wedding and portrait photographers) I came away feeling so inspired and excited about starting my new business venture. Now that a few days have gone by, I am starting to feel the pressure, a pressure that only I am creating. I have seen all the new equipment and all the new ideas and styles and naturally I want to keep up. I have been humbled (which is a good thing) because there is so much yet to learn. Im falling into the old perfectionist pattern. I hate that pattern. I of coarse want to do my very best and give my clients the very best for their money. So... after realizing my crazy thinking I decided to get out and take some pics. No pressure, no editing, just shooting for the fun of it. So... here they are straight out of the camera. Hope you enjoy. I know I did. The best part, the kids and I watched a banana peel float down the creek. Cheap entertainment.

The Billings Horse Sale!

I always have an exceptional time at the horse sale. This time I decided to take my camera along and had a blast. Here are some images of my pic of the sale. He was tall dark and handsome with a beautiful profile. Congratulations to his new owner. I wish it was me!

My First Senior of the Year!

I have to say this was an exciting morning. The light was great, no wind and a great model. What more can I ask for.
